Sidi Ifni: When the fog brings happiness to the poor
Sept 2024/ MF - In 2016, it was an opportunity to discover a beautiful new project when the German broadcaster DW contacted me to film a project in south-west Morocco. On Mount Boutmezguida in the Anti-Moroccan Atlas, I met Mr Mbarek. He had never imagined that the fog enveloping the neighboring peaks would change the life

Agadir: In a big cage with White cockatoo
I continue today to live the same passion that I learned for the first time from 25 years ago, I filmed animals all over Morocco on behalf of several international television channels such as BBC Earth, Discovery Channel, DW… I organized shoots across Morocco to film monkeys, ants, fennecs Foxs, sharks, Scorpions, Gazelle, snakes, Vultures, African leopards, Atlas lions, Eagle Owl Pharaon… the list is long. Wildlife shootings have always been moments of refuge to discover the other side of the planet that ignore the existence of homo sapiens.
Beauty: Underwater filming in Morocco
Clear waters & beautiful marine life… Morocco has a number of diving sites that are well worth a visit. During more than 25 years of travelling in Morocco, I have often accompanied oceanographers, divers, fishermen and archaeologists to film at sea and also on the coast. In this article, I tell you about three beautiful places in the north of Morocco that left their mark on me.
Jemaa el-Fna: Shooting in the head of Marrakech
For the filmmakers and journalists the place of Jemaa el-Fna was always a must and also a beautiful place to capture the time of an old Morocco that remains alive. Many cinema and documentary films have been filmed in this place since more than 100 years, the young generations are always on site to continue the show, they invent nothing, they only share their own life as Moroccans.
Filming in Dakhla: City of waves and winds
Dakhla and located in the extreme south of Morocco, it is about 400km from the Mauritanian border, and for many countries around the world this region is called the "western Sahara", conflict zone for more than 50 years, but for us travelers we know that this city is an integral part of the Kingdom of Morocco.
Tafouralt: First and oldest genetic material of Homo sapiens in Africa.
The cave of the Pigeons, (or cave of Taforalt) is a prehistoric site located near the village of Tafouralt, in the Beni-Snassen massif, a mountainous region of low altitude (1535m) located in the north-east of Morocco, and 9 hours driving were necessary to get there from the capital Rabat.
