A young man has been engaged for three years in a snail-farming project in the vicinity of the capital Rabat, the first of its kind in this region. Most of the farms are in Marrakech and Casablanca. The export market is up-and-coming because Spain and France are big consumers of snails, but about five years ago, the laboratories started using snail slime for cosmetic products.
